Sgt Major Rooibaard was the man and Sgt Bloem our platoon Sgt, what a nightmare at first. From been a surfer from Toti to basic training, major lifestyle adjustment. | 80672017 BG Ek het diensplig begin in Jan 1983 in Personeel Diensskool in Voortrekker Hoogte. Na 6 weke is ek uitgeplaas na Sein Eenheid in Heidelberg. Daarna is ek vir 18 maande grens toe. Ek was gestasioneer op Nepara Basis, Sektor 20, Rundu. Nepara was ongeveer 170km wes van Rundu naby die 17-30 kaplyn. Hoor graag van manne wat daai tyd daar was soos Sprocket, Botha en die ander. Ek weet Reinhard Kuun is n ruk terug oorlede in n motorfiets ongeluk. Groete... |

Deon, ek is ook 'n 6SAI korporaal gewees - 1978/79. Was in Oshikango, Oshivillo, Etale, Oom Willie se pad patrolleer en en ... Great site guys, we need more photos and contributions. I was and is very, very proud to have served, and to all my fellow army members; THANK YOU ALL !! We all have fond/sad memories, but it will always remain in our hearts.! |
